MDA Policies and Procedures

REGISTRATION- There is a registration fee each dance year of $20.00 per child per year.  Family registration fee is $30.00 per year.

DANCE YEAR-
Our dance year begins in August and ends in June.  Students who register in August are expected to dance for the whole dance year.

PRODUCTIONS-
MDA holds a production in December and a production in June.  Details of the productions will be posted on this website under the production tabs.  These will have all the information you need to know including dates, times, dress rehearsals, academy rehearsals and other items pertaining to the productions.  Please read all information carefully and check it weekly for changes.  It is the students and parents responsibility to look up the information and know and be at their scheduled events.  Please call the MDA if you have any questions.  We will be happy to answer them.

  • For each production there is a production fee of $20.00 per student due at the time of registration. 
  • A costume deposit of $30.00 per child is due at the time of registration and will apply towards a $100.00 costume or less per dance.

VIEWING- Parents and family members will be allowed to view classes the last week of each month.

INSURANCE-
All students are required to be covered under their own family insurance policies.  If injury occurs the student's own policy is the only source of reimbursement.

ABSENCES & HOLIDAYS-
If your child misses a class, they can do a make-up in another class within one month of their absence.  Holidays are not prorated.  If your child's class lands on a holiday make plans to do a make-up class in another class to get your money's worth for the month.  Please see the calendar for MDA holidays/closures.  We follow the same schedule as Maricopa schools. 

TUITION-
Monthly tuition is due on the 25th for the following month; whether or not your child attends class.  MDA requires 1 month written notice before a student drops class.  Tuition is due for the month after we have received written notice that a student is dropping a class.

  Please read all information on the MDA website and posted at MDA.  Any additional information will be sent via email.  Please update us with your current e-mail address or notify us of any contact information changes.

DANCE CODE OF CONDUCT
Maricopa Dance Academy has a code of conduct students and parents are required to follow.  Students need to wear the proper attire according to their specific class or they will not be permitted to dance. (No refund for class if student is not prepared with proper attire.)
Students should be ten minutes early warming up and stretching before class. 
Students should be respectful to classmates and instructors at all times.
No talking in class without permission.
Questions about dance are encouraged.
Parents are allowed in the dance classroom only by invitation of the instructor or the owner.
All dance business matters are to be discussed privately and professionally in the dance office.
